Welcome to the Fossil Finders project!

In this section, you will find more information about the National Science Foundation-funded Fossil Finders project. The project description explains how 5th-9th grade classrooms are involved in an authentic geological research investigation using fossils.

This section also describes how teachers are supported in engaging their classrooms in this investigation through professional development in geological content, nature of science, and instruction using inquiry. These teachers are piloting the Fossil Finders investigation in their classrooms and will be contributing to the continued development of the Fossil Finders curriculum.
